About Now Part 2

Sometimes I think it'd be easier not to get married.

Not because I don't love Trent.

Not because I think I'm making a mistake.

I love Trent.

And I've never been more sure of anything in my life than of marrying him.

But I've been so frustrated with everything.

I feel like I live in an alternate universe.

On one side, 

I'm this college student soon to graduate

with classes that are kicking my butt

and feeling like I can never do enough

and getting down on myself,

feeling I can't talk to anybody,

On the other side,

I'm engaged and planning a wedding,

my parents are in Peru so it's not like I have my mom helping,

Trent tries to help but he's a boy,

so there's so much he can do.

I don't want to bother my roommates with my crap,

so I don't let them see how not okay I am sometimes.

but I'm so frustrated and so aware of my faults a lot.

And if I was not getting married,

I'd still be frustrated but it'd be one less thing to worry about.

Sometimes I feel so lonely.

Trent's a great help though.

He lets me vent to him when I need it.

He lets me cry on his shoulder when I just can't handle anymore.

He hugs me until I feel better.

And he puts me and my well-being in front of everything else.

I don't know how I would handle this without him.

I'm just tired and overwhelmed.

But I will get through this.

I will graduate.

And I will plan my wedding.

And I will be married to the best person in the world.

Jane is the closest thing to a sister that I have in the US.

She listens to me and I can trust her with anything.

She's the sweetest person ever.

She helps me be a better person every day.

I see her read her Scriptures every night before going to sleep.

That has helped me read at least one verse before going to bed.

I love Jane.

I haven't listened to Spanish music in like years.

Trent was telling me that Enrique Iglesias' songs are all about the same thing,

He wants a girl that's dating someone else and they won't find out because the boyfriend is gone.

All about cheating on your boyfriend.

So I said that before Enrique started singing in English his songs were so wholesome.

And beautiful.

Then I played this CD for Trent because it's my favorite.

He agreed that he has changed a lot.

He was amazing before.

His songs were so romantic.

Sigh.

So I'm listening to "Cosas del Amor" again.

And loving every minute of it.

About Days 32 and 33

Day 32 - A picture of a crazy night.

I don't have a picture.

But I sure have a video.

And nothing's better than a video!

Those were the "good ol' days"
when Trent and I were only friends.
I was in love with him then,
but he didn't know,
because I couldn't show it.
I used to be crazy with my roommates Jane and Brianna a lot.
I miss those days.
I mean I love dating Trent,
I just wish I could have everything sometimes.

Day 33 - A picture of the house you grew up in.

Not a very good picture.
But that's my house.
My daddy designed it.
Because he's an Industrial Engineer.
It's the house of my dreams.

About Day 31

Day 31 - A picture of a tradition you have.

This picture was taken at my house in Peru on Christmas 2010.
My daddy, my sisters Larissa and Toti and a picture of me.

My daddy dresses as Santa Claus.

He's done it for so many years now.
When we were little, we didn't know it was daddy.
We really thought it was Santa.
Dad always said he was going to the bathroom.
And then Santa came, gave us our presents and left.
And Daddy came back.
And we were all like:
"Dad, you missed Santa!"
We eventually realized it was Dad.
But we still pretend it's actually Santa.
Because it's like magic.

I've missed four Christmas at home since I came to BYU.

I miss Christmas with my family.

I don't like spending Christmas alone.

It's sad.

This last Christmas was the best I've had since I came here.

I'm planning on getting my future husband to dress as Santa every year for our kids.

It meant a lot to me.

And I wish I could see my daddy as Santa even if it's just one more time.

But...

I get to see my parents in April for graduation!

They're coming on the 20th!

I'm so excited!

About Day 30

Day 30 - A picture of someone you miss.

  

This is my baby Rowdy.

I got him when I went to Peru for the summer.

It was love at first sight.

I named him Rowdy after the dead dog in Scrubs.

It was so hard leaving him every Fall to go back to school.

I went home for a week in August last year.

I was so excited to see Rowdy.

I got home and I kept asking about him.

My parents said he had died.

He was hit by a car.

I cried so much.

I loved Rowdy.

I promised him one day I would bring him to Provo with me.

And it hurt me so much.

That he couldn't wait for me.

That he wasn't able to wait for me.

My parents got me Nikita.

They said that if they were to lose a child,

only another child would help.

So they got me her.

 

I love her.

She reminds me of Rowdy.

I also had to leave her in Peru.

I'm such a bad mommy.

About Day 29

Day 29 - A picture that can always make you smile.

 

Larissa loves this picture.

For some reason, she thinks it's funny to take away my bottle.

My eyes are so wide I don't think I like her taking away my food.

Day 27 - A picture of yourself and a family member.

 

This is my sister Larissa and me.

A little before I got baptized.

I think it was the day before.

Just last night I had a dream that she died.

It made me so sad I almost woke up crying.

I love Larissa so much.

She's my best friend in the whole wide world.

About Days 25 and 26

Day 25 - A picture of your day.

 This is what happened yesterday.

Trent and I are not very into shopping.

He's a boy.

And I hate shopping for clothes.

I love shoe shopping though.

Trent and I needed new jeans, and shoes, and shirts.
Our jeans are ripped, our shirts are old and our shoes are falling apart.

So we went shopping.

We shopped for him first.
He got two new pairs of jeans, a really cute shirt and shoes.

And I got two new pairs of jeans, two shirts, two camis and two pairs of flats.
Yay for new clothes!

Day 26 - A picture of something that means a lot to you.

 

Trent took me to Oregon on MLK's Day Weekend.

He took me to a bookstore because he said he used to go there a lot.

I love books.

And when I go to bookstores I just lose myself surrounded by all the books.

We were having a lot of fun there.

Then Trent asked me, "Do you like the books here?"

I said, "I love books."

Trent said, "Pick one that you want to take home with you."

My eyes went wide open and I asked, "Really?"

He smiled and I started looking for THE book.

After a lot of browsing...

And a lot of "I'm sorry I'm taking so long" comments...

I found "I am Number Four."

I showed it to Trent and after I said that was the one I wanted,

he said it sounded so interesting he wanted to read it too.

When I showed my roommate Brianna the book she said,

"That has a movie coming out, doesn't it?"

I didn't know that when I chose it.

School hasn't given me time to read it yet.

But I was so happy that Trent bought me a book.

Even though it might not seem like the ultimate romantic thing,

it meant a lot to me.

About Day 24

I wish I could fast-forward time.

First to April to make school end for me FOREVER.

Talk about a hard question.

I have too many favorite books.
So I'll divide them into categories.

First Book that I remember reading and loving.

Books that I have read more than once, twice, three times, you get the picture.

Book I read in a day that I wouldn't recommend to a lot of people because it might be disturbing unless you're like me and like dark stuff.

Biographical Book that I also read in one day--one sitting.

 

I love books.
