About March 12

So, no big deal but...
see this gorgeous piece of jewelry?

All mine!
Trent proposed on Saturday March 12!

This is what he said,
I don't EVER want to forget,
so here it is,
(if it's in italics it means it's sort of what he said but not the exact words)
"Nadia, I've been thinking a lot,
and I decided that I'm a much better person with you,
because you make me a better man,
not just a righteous man, that too.
But everything.
In fact, just being around you makes me better.
And I want to repay the favor,
I don't know if I'm perfect for it,
But I wanna try.
Will you marry me?"

And I said YES!
Because I'm never ever ever EVER
gonna find someone as special and perfect for me as Trent is.
I love him so much!
I'll update the whole story later.

Thanks to my wonderful soon-to-be sisters-in-law
Erin and Angela Despain!
And my soon-to-be niece Allisyn!

They are the best!
I'm so excited to be part of their family!

Now my Trent and I are happily engaged!

My Haves

I have...

A broken iPod.
Awesome roommates.
A great family.
A big heart.
Pretty great taste in music.
A crush on Shawn from Psych.
A broad imagination.
A habit of shaving my arms.
Great fashion sense.
Skills to do my make up.

And a boyfriend!!!!!!!

Yes, people, you heard it here first.
I officially have a boyfriend.
And I'm completely off the market.
And I'm pretty happy about it.

I have a boyfriend!!!
He's the cutest thing ever.
And he makes me smile every day.
November 27, 2010 people!
Te quiero mucho, penguin!

My Idiotic Smiling Face

Have you seen those people on campus
when you walk to class?
People that look like this:

And then you wonder why they're smiling so much.
It's crazy.
They just walk around smiling at everybody.

Well, I was one of those people today.
I hope you didn't see me on campus.
If you did,
well I was really happy.

I think everyone noticed.
I was pretty much like this:

Minus pretty Brianna.
But that was my face.
Yea.
Good day.

My Permanent-since yesterday-Silly Smile

I failed my first American Heritage Midterm.
Without the curve.
Now with the curve, I probably got a C.
And honestly--this might sound bad--I don't care about American History.
Actually, make that any kind of history.
I don't even care about Peruvian History.
I just don't care.
But let's leave it there.

Now.
I am smiling.
=)
See?

Why? You might ask.
You failed a test.
You're taking 9 credits.
You have an annoying roommate who is not MIA anymore.
She gets cold all the time and doesn't let you turn on the AC even though it's HOT!
You can barely sleep at night because you're always hot.
Freakin' Gossip Girl just aired its season finale and you hated Jenny's role in it.
Chuck might die. Yes, die!
You have to wait until August for the 4th season.
Chris Colfer is STILL gay.
Why are you happy?

I'll tell you why.
But not really.
If I talk about it too much, I might jinx it.
But no, I'm not getting published yet.
Just in case you were wondering.

My dream... might come true after all.

And that's why I'm smiling.

Thanks for tuning in.
Please be safe and stay out of trouble.

My Random Notes

This is true.

I'm in bed. Sick. I feel like crap. No idea what's going on either. My mom says it's my poor nutrition. I eat, I promise. I just don't eat healthy enough, so she says I'm lacking vitamins. Note to self: Buy Multi Vitamins Supplement.

Oh, college. And the life of a college student that thinks she can handle 15 credits, 20 hours of work, 4 hours of daily reading and 2 hours of daily writing give or take-- plus a social life and at least a daily hour of Dexter. Too much for one tiny person like me.

But... things like these make me happy.

I know I'm obsessed with Britt and Kyle, but they're just lovely together...

Nice notes I received from guys in my ward. That made me happy too. I need to send some next week.

My White Christmas

So, my Christmas was pretty cool. Probably the best I've had since I moved to Provo.
We had other plans initially but they didn't turn out the way we had planned them so we had to settle for something quick.

Larissa and I bought chicken and I made stuffing - which turned out gross, there goes my attempt at trying to make American food - and rice - which wasn't too great either, I know how could I mess up rice?! - and raspberry trifle - now that was pretty amazing.

We had FHE on Christmas Eve with my family through Skype, something we had never done before, but we should have because that made our night almost perfect.
Then Larissa and I exchanged presents and we gave Christ our presents for him for this year. We ate and simultaneously my parents and little sis in Peru did too. It was really special.

Christmas is about Christ and family. And this year mine really was.
On Christmas morning we made our first gingerbread house ever. Ok, I pretty much did, but Larissa helped a bit too, and I only wanted to have her with me. I don't like being alone.
I love her. She's great.

News - I've changed my blog layout and I think it's pretty cool. With the new year coming up, I was thinking I would just change the way my blog looks to something happier and girlier. Will you listen to me?

O, brother.

*Eeeeep*

It's taken me a while to update some good news. But today I just remembered I needed to post it... I'm gonna be an aunt!

Yes, one of my "big brothers" is finally gonna be a daddy!

I'm really happy, I'm gonna be the aunt of a white baby! Congrats Sam! Your baby is gonna be so pretty, because your wife is beautiful. =) *high five*

Spencer needs to get pregnant, his wife's beautiful too... then I could be the aunt of 2 cute white babies!

Back Again

Afyer 2 1/2 years, Dayan and I have been reunited. It's been forever since that last time we saw each other in the Salt Lake Airport and she said "Don't cry. You'll never see me again but don't cry." But here we are. Friendship doesn't mean being inseparable. It's being separated and knowing nothing will change.
