I am in L.A. soon to be called to board and get to my final destination in Provo, UT. I met this cool missionary, o well soon to be an RM on the flight. There were a lot of missionaries returning home in my flight. All of them coming from Chile. So I got to seat next to this guy, Elder Hafen. He was really scared/excited/stoked to be going home to Idaho Falls. And even more to watch a movie in the flight. We watched - or tried to watch - Sabrina together but we both ended up asleep. It was a slow movie too. It was pretty cool to get to talk to someone during the flight and he said before I told him I was 100% Peruvian he thought I was one of those latin kids born in America and forced to learn Spanish as they grew up. He thought that because he said I was pretty much American just because my English is good, but he hadn't heard my Spanish so he didn't know how great it is. We talked in Spanish a bit later but he didn't want to because he thought I was gonna make fun of it. Silly self-conscious elder. We're in the same flight to UT too. Pretty random.
It took forever to get through check in because they opened my bags and took everything out. Since I have nothing to hide but turrones for my friends then it was all good. And now I'll be leaving in no time. I'm still a bit sad, but it's back to reality now. I'm somewhat excited. Just to see Provo... and get my stupid phone fixed!
