My Lock & Key

I bought four new books. I've been craving some new adventures for a while now. The one I'm most excited about reading is "Lock & Key" by Sarah Dessen. We'll see how that goes.

My Darn You, Freakin' Owl!

Twitterpated:
Confused by affection or infatuation.
An enjoyable disorder characterized by feelings of excitement, anticipation, high hopes, recent memories of interludes, giddiness, and physical over stimulation which occur simultaneously when experiencing a new love. These feelings take over without warning, usually at odd times (such as at a check-out line), with or without the partner present, and make it difficult to concentrate on anything but romance. They interfere with work and safe driving, but should be experienced at least once in every person's lifetime.

O crap! I have a case of the "twitterpated" syndrome!!!! This time is bad. Worse than it has ever been.

My Winter Olympics

Kyle likes watching the Olympics, which is why I end up watching them when he's here. I just love being with my favorite couple ever. (If you don't know who they are, please click here... after hitting yourself on the head for not knowing me well enough)

So Kyle wanted to watch the short track speed skating thing. Britt was in the kitchen making brownies I think. I was on the love seat and Kyle was on the big couch and I asked who this guy was.

Then Britt came and sat next to Kyle. The little conversation went like this.

Britt: Who are you talking about?
Kyle: Apolo Ohno.
Me: He looks gay.
Britt: You like gay guys.

Touche.

My Curious Recurrent Pattern - Part 2

I showed Spence who my last crush was.
He saw the picture and said: "you like em scrawny and with tight pants don't you"

Er... maybe...

My Single Awareness Day Weekend

Friday and Saturday

It all started on Friday, after I got off work and ready to go to the RS Retreat. Not too excited since Isabel decided she wouldn't go at the last minute. Kim was off to a symposium whatchamacallit and wouldn't go either. I was not too happy about going alone since I don't know many of the girls in the ward. We went to the Spring Haven cabin in Springville. Biggest and most beautiful place I've ever been to! We spent the night there.

It was great. I just can't begin to explain. I met many girls and had tons and tons of fun. I'll just let the pics do the talking.

Improv Talent Show!

Me and Tanya at 11 at night looking tired but happy

Love my Giovis

Kelly bringing it down! She's great!

The cabin was ginormous! Loved it!

Salsa Lessons!

Kelly and Michelle were my favorite!

Bren, recently baptized and way active! Love her so muuuch!
She's a great example.

(L to R) Jess, me, Bren, Alicia and Rach.
Just became friends with Jess that weekend.
She's so sweet and great. Love her!

Little Andrew Fisher. Super cute!

Sunday

The V-Day Sunday. Not too happy. I celebrated Single Awareness Day Chris-Colfer style.

"Oh, Valentine's Day. I love to celebrate Single Awareness Day by being with fellow single people and watching like, a horror movie or something. Just in spite. And no heart-shaped chocolates. If you bring that, they'll be thrown at you."

But Britt and Kyle made us cookie brownies or whatever-they're-called. And they were great! My favorite part of the day was getting 13 Nice Notes from people in my ward. I have no idea where they came from--I didn't even know so many people knew who I was. Someone--or many "someones"--out there love me.

This is my wall of love.

Kyle and Britt came home at about 9, and we all watched the first Indiana Jones. I had never seen it before. And I still like Back to the Future a loooot better. But I am biased... because Michael J. Fox is hot and Harrison Ford just doesn't do it for me.

V-Day Meltdown Moment: Isabel has a bf. And Giovanna. And Tanya. I'm the only Latin left on the Singles Group. Loooser. O well.

Monday

Today. Much needed day off. I tried watching the 4th Star Wars, because I've only seen the first three... but I own all 6. I tried, I swear but I really needed a nap since I randomly wake up every night at around 4 or 5 and can't go back to sleep no matter how tired I am. It's weird. And I go to bed at around 11, so it's not like I don't try. Kim and I watched Firefly--I feel bad if I don't because I promised her I would. I'm not too into it though. I don't think I ever will. I can watch it just fine but... no. I just--no.

FHE was fun! We had an Olympic-based game. Ok, maybe not very Olympic-ish, but for sure we had that Spirit of competition, right?

Pictures are way better than my writing, I believe.

Fun fun fun. And now back to real life.

I did do my reading for Brit Lit for tomorrow and I learned it was Tennyson who said...

"'Tis better to have loved and lost
than never to have loved at all."

O boy, Tennyson... What in the holy grail!!!! --that's my new signature quote.

My Curious Recurrent Pattern

She told me so. Britt so did tell me so. She said I would love it.
And I do.
Specially him.

He is perfect.

Except he's gay.
On the show.
And in real life.

But I don't care.
It's not the first time anyway.
Spencer said that seems to be a pattern for me.
